Daughter wants to start TTM collection

Was talking to my youngest daughter yesterday, and is somewhat excited to start sending out TTM requests. But instead of ballplayers, she wants to do actors, specifically Broadway actors. I know I used to get Autograph Collector Magazine, and they would publish all kinds of Celeb addresses. My question is, does anyone know who would publish these or would you send them to the theatres that the plays might be running at? Thanks for any help.

Fanmail.biz is a great website, and sportscardforum.com has a ttm database that is frequently updated.

Ibdb.com is another essential site, every performer ever is listed, you can find what theatres they are performing at, and agents too. Writing via an agent would get a letter to a performer, though I would totally send via venue, I think a lot of Broadway performers are typically gracious signers!

That is a really fun collection idea! She could send a photo to sign, and could also request a signed playbill as well, that may be a cool thing too!

God bless,

Kevin

Some good stuff above -- I always used startiger.com. You can also look through the different shows to see who is performing where. I didn't send a lot to Broadway, but ended up 2 of 3 on responses. I got the cast of Wicked. I got Gina Gershon. I whiffed on Scarlett Johannsen.

Wicked is a phenomenal show! Startiger is a good site too.

Agree with the Wicked....saw it on my vacation to San Francisco and it was sold out! Idiot at the Hilton Hotel.....those people that are suppose to help you...told me.....that show has been here a long time....they never sell out.....The day before the show.......I walked to the ticket office and purchase a ticket that cost me $100.00 .....told the ticket person what the idiot said.......She said every show in San Francisco has been sold out!! After watching the live show.....and packed theater....and the crowd afterwards.........worth the $100.00!! Best regards, David

Thanks for the good responses! I knew the Bench would have the resources. We got the supplies and sent out one each to start, she sent to Patrick Page, who plays a main character in Hades Town. I sent to Brian Harper to see if I can add to my auto collection

Fantastic! So glad, I hope you guys end up with some great successes!

David, I'm glad you loved Wicked, and I imagine a play ticket would be more expensive....EVERYTHING is more expensive in SF!

Just some advice, stay away from Publicists, big Agents and large Talent Agencies. Most of the time you will get back a AutoPen signature. The days of a Ringo Star answering every fan letter is gone. She could get a legit auto back but I would send to the lesser stars.
