after searching ebay over the past few weeks, ive noticed that there are very few if any alex rodriguez yankees signed cards. theres a ton of rangers and mariners stuff but hardly any yankees stuff, why is that? just curious.

Maybe because when he was with those teams he signed autographs and now that he is a Yankee he doesn't sign that much anymore?

oh, yeah, that could be. perhaps once he became a yankee he decided not to sign anymore or as much.im trying to add a yankees auto card of his to my collection, but cant seem to find any at all :(

on a separate note, since we are on the topic of yankees autos, how come jorge posada autos so darn expensive? i mean hes batting .178!

That's because he signs less than Jeter & Arod combined! I've gotten both IP but have never even seen Posada sign.

i didnt know that he doesnt sign that much. i dont know why these guys dont sign much especially posada after hitting .178, you would think he signs for everyone! thanks for the info. i kind of wish now that i didnt sell my posada ttm auto i got a few years back :(

You also have to consider fan base too... Posada Arod Jeter and the like probably don't sign much cause they get SWARMED when they do and there is a high demand for them... now for my buccos... the players beg fans to take their autographs! lol.

The reason the three of them don't sign often is because of their/Yankees contracts wth Steiner Sports for autographs and memorbilia. Steiner wants to attempt to corner the market, therefore trying to limit one's availability of getting an auto on the street. Lower the supply, increase the demand.
