Just wondering what everyone who has bought or seen 2011 Topps thinks of the set.

I personally really like the design of the base, I've liked each of the designs since 2007 Topps (I HATE black bordered cards!).

The Diamond Anniversary parallels are very nice, very interesting concept.

I personally like most of the insert sets (like that they kept the CYMTO and Million Card Giveaway concept going), the Reproduction Cards are a very nice insert set. There are just too many of them!! I think Topps could have easily done away with at least two of the insert sets, Diamond Duos and History of Topps to name a couple.

Also, does anyone know why hobby box prices are going up on ebay? I'm asking for one for my b-day and I told my mom that if she is going to buy one for me, to buy it sooner rather than later, because I can't believe this! The cheapest one I found on ebay was around $67 with shipping. They're usually around $50-55. (If you know where any are cheaper, please let me know. :))

I plan on buying a box next week or at a show this weekend so I have not seen them yet. You mentioned the Million Card Giveaway. Does that just continue? Is there an expiration or a time I need to get the ones I already redeemed online?

Thanks in advance.

I think the deadline to redeem the 2010 Million Card Giveaways was February 1. The deadline to have them shipped is March 1.

They're still doing the code-redemption plan like the MCGs, but they're called something else in the 2011 Topps.

I think they had too many inserts last year. Although I liked the Peak Performance inserts, I think they could have done away with those and the Legendary Lineage ones as well.
