Help with something I bought off eBay

Hello,

I found this listing on eBay last Saturday morning. It was listed as a complete 2000 Skybox Metal Emerald set, but upon looking at the pictures I noticed the cards were cut along one corner. I thought maybe it was some kind of parallel. It had a very reasonable BIN so I bought the set and it arrived Friday. But, what is it? I sent a message on Trading Card Database and they believe that it is a test issue of some kind, that they printed a whole set and inserts and then cut off a corner. Does anybody know for sure what this is?

Not at all familiar with this set but I hope you get an answer!!

I did find copies of the 10 of 10 hm Vladimir but every one I find has all four corners.

i think the are dealer promo's.my card shop has some of them and some football ones like that
