How do you know for sure if they are indeed gum stained?

I have several that have white spots on the back but I can't smell the gum.

TIA

The ones I have the white marks are very light put they are they sort of in a rectangular shape. One you see one they are easy to spot. I could never smell a distinct Gum ? Some people must have good smelling senses

Got it, thanks for clearing that up! Have heard the term, but wondered!

God Bless,

Kevin Mc

It goes back to past topps cards when they put a piece of bubble gum in every pack. It put a stain on the last card
in the pack and so ruined it. I don't remember the exact year but they finally quit putting gum in the packs. This
year they didn't put gum in them but gave the cards the same affect.

Cant help but think now are the 1986 1992 gum stained back cards now worth some good money? I may have to search and sell those as 1/1 on e-bay. LOL
they created short prints back then and didnt even realize it. LOL

Hmmm maybe put my 1990 Eric Anthony up and get some serious dough. again JK.
