Yeah, I'm just THAT badass.

Drove from North Texas to Cleveland on Tuesday and Wednesday. Came down with food poisoning on Tuesday, leaving my lunch in three different cities along I-70. Too many informations? Sorry.

I was better on Wednesday, and figured I was finally cured this morning. So, my wife and I got my dad and we headed for downtown. I hate city driving. Found parking, got our tickets, went in the ballpark, and I headed straight for the Mariners side.

Totals on the Mariners:
Blake Beaven: 4/4 (1 for Arron)
Steve Delabar: 2/2
Charlie Furbush: 2/2
Brandon League: 1/3 (for Arron)
Jason Phillips: 3/3
Tom Wilhelmsen: 2/2
Jaime Navarro: 4/4

Saw but did not sign: Ackley, Carp, Hernandez, Ichiro, Jaso (starting catcher), Liddi, Ryan, Saunders, Smoak, Vargas, Willis, Noesi (starting pitcher)

Did not see: Brumley, Chambliss, Figgins, Millwood, Montero, Thompson, Wedge, Wells

Signed for others but not me: Datz, Kawasaki, Seager

Second inning rolls around, Johnny Damon at the plate, fouls one back... Right into my hands! I have been going to games for almost 25 years, my dad for 50 (his first game was in 1962), this was the first foul ball either of us has caught. I tried to give it to him, he wouldn't take it. So it's going on my desk at work.

Indians win. Even better. Probably one of the three best baseball games I've ever been to (other two were Dave Stieb's 1990 no-hitter and a 1995 game where Albert Belle cranked a walk-off grand slam off Lee Smith).

Post-game, Indians parking lot...

Nick Hagadone 3/3
Jeanmar Gomez 2/2 (1 for Arron)
Vinnie Pestano 3/3
Justin Masterson 3/3 (1 for Arron)
Jason Kipnis 2/4, 2/2 (double dipped but asked him and he was cool with it)
Travis Hafner 1/4

Total: 34 autographs, 1 foul ball. 1 extra-inning victory.

And a sunburn and a return of the food poisoning after I got back to the hotel. Oh well.

Wow! Sounds like a trip you will remember for a variety of reasons. Great successes! I hope you feel better soon!

Thanks everyone.

Definitely feeling better today, which is good because my 10-year HS reunion kicks off in 2 hours (the main purpose for the trip). Hopefully will be hitting the new casino tonight and then playing some softball tomorrow.

BTW Arron, I finally have all three of my mitts. When I get back to Texas, we've got to get a few games going.
