how is it possible that 2012 Topps baseball has a johnny podres certified autograph in their 2012 product when he passed away in 2008?

It's a sticker. They could have a ton of those leftover and just now are using them.

thanks guys, i appreciate your responses. i didnt know that topps would still have these stickers four years later. they must have vaults filled with autographed stickers from all types of players! thanks again.
