Interesting Find??

Hi Gang -

Got a note from a friend of mine who pulled a strange insert (at least to me ) from a pack of 2011 Topps Heritage.

A Topps Redemtion card #6 Votto

He sent me a picture - no doubt when compared to eBay sales posts. I thought this was strange - has anyone else had a similar experience??

I am not sure, could be, I guess - it was sparkly like the Redemption Votto. I'd post the photo here but don't know how to add photos to my posts. ??

I just looked again on eBay - there are three Votto redemptions out there, the facsimilie autos on those are identical to the picture he sent. He sent a pic of the back of the card as well - #6 on it - red and black printing. I would think if it was a real auto, it would appear different than those on the redemptions. ??

Could be a distribution problem in which some of those redemptions accidentally made their way into packs. It has happened in the hobby before. Interesting find, to say the least!

Those cards on Ebay are from the 2011 Topps wrapper redemption. Is your friends card identical to those?

His appears identical to the redemption Vottos on the Bay!!
