Marathon Signature

I got a used book written by legendary marathoner Don Kardong. He used to race Prefontaine and finished 4th in the 1976 Olympic marathon. I was surprised to find out it was signed when it arrived. It was only $3.50 including postage.

I wonder what other prize autos are out there in the used book market?

I also got a hardcover of four baseball books, but none of them were autographed.

Sometimes I look around flea markets for old books, a few times I have gotten some nice signed ones.

Congrats. I payed $10 for a Cal Ripken Jr signed book from a lady on craigslist years ago. Made it into a cut I still have to get framed. I have heard stories of people finding signed books from ahtletes/celebrities for dirt cheap at used book stores.
