Mike Schmidt TTM thru Hall of Fame

Can any of you help me with Mike Schmidt?

I see where he is signing mail sent to the HOF and it is coming back postmarked from Philly. Several folks are suggesting that it is a "ghost signer".

I would obviously love to get Schmidt for my 1979 Topps set, but that is a pretty nice card to waste if they are ghost-signed. On the other hand, if they are real it is very exciting to be able to get his signature with no fee.

They're probably ghost-signed - I remember reading an article about how he doesn't like to sign via the mail (or even in person all too much). I know he personally denied me an autograph.
