So a year ago I'm not really a autograph kind of guy, always thought I was too old for it and it was too hard. But earlier this year I started getting coaches and players autographs at the Pensacola Blue Wahoos stadium because I asked around and kind of got the swing of things...I was instantly addicted. I've been able to get Delino DeShields, Dick Schofield, Britt Burns, Gary Ward, Cory Snyder and a slew of minor league guys too (but I like getting the coaches the most).

So I had this 1990 Fleer Delino DeShields RC signed and I thought it would be really cool to get the "other guy" auto on the same card. The "other guy" is Jason Grimsley (Phillies) and I decided to venture out into the TTM world. I sent this out on June 4th and I didn't put a lot of stock into getting it back (not because I thought Grimsley was bad, just because I am a TTM skeptic). Today I got my very first TTM return and it is pretty darn cool...take a look!

Really nice pick up! A great addition to your collection.

Your first ttm completing a dual auto is awesome.

Congrats.

Thanks everybody!

Brian,

I am sure you already know this, but be sure to check the TTM manager here before sending, or post in a forum to see if anyone had any success....I know Pete Rose signs TTM very reliably but for a fee (not sure how much, he has a website with contact and pricing info) and I dont know about Eric Davis, I havent ever seen a TTM from him, but he may have a website out there, or info online somewhere! I would not want to see you lose cards or waste stamps (BELIEVE ME, I SURE HAVE!!) on someone who isnt a reliable signer. I often check home addresses on whitepages.com also before sending to make sure it is an established address. That is easier for old timers who have lived in the same home for a long time, a lot of newer or bigger name players tend to move around more!

Just a few tricks of the trade, I am actually mostly out of TTM for the moment, but who knows, another project after my 58 Cardinals team card (3 more signatures to go!!)may crop up and I will be off to the races again!!

Kevin - Thanks for the advice. Pete has flooded the market with his autos because the rumor is he needs the money real bad, I don't know about that. The other rumor I have heard at Maritime park is that Eric Davis can be tough and that I would have better luck catching him IP at the ballpark than through the mail. I don't know about either of these stories, just what I have caught through the grapevine.
