I've decided to go for all TTMs instead of certified autos for my 1996-2009 Yankees World Series Champion rosters. Of 150 players on my want list list, I have just 15 TTMs so far all of which I got thru trades here. I am looking to knock a bunch off my wantlist below but want to try to obtain some of these myself by sending out requests.

Which of these guys below are fairly reliable signers? I saw a few of these names in the Address Database, but the requests were from 2008 or 2009 so I wanted to get an idea of who signs currently. One guy I know who signs is Jimmy Key, but I already have his auto. Looking for more guys like that, any advice is appreciated, especially with the younger rookies from the 2009 roster.

Gonna start by sending out Chili Davis, ****, and Rivera after seeing a recent pickup posts. Even just a couple of names that you recognize would be a big help.

Thanks.

if you are going to do a lot of TTM, you might want to get a membership at www.startiger.com

they have stats on returns and you can see how many they have signed and when the last time someone got something back...they also show the returns broken down by address since many people have more than one address.

it's well worth the money if you are wanting to do any amount of TTM's...

I would suggest getting a subscription to www.sportscollectors.net. A great resource to show updated addresses and success rates.

Looking through your list, here are some reliable signers that I am aware of:

2009 Yankees Roster
Albaladejo, Johathan
Coke, Phil
Kennedy, Ian
Nady, Xavier
Sabathia, CC - Takes nearly a year to come back though

1990s Yankees Roster
Bones, Ricky
Brosius, Scott
Cone, David - Charges $50/signature
Davis, Chili
Fossas, Tony
Gibson, Paul
Grimsley, Jason
Hill, Glenallen
Johnson, Lance
Juden, Jeff
Justice, David
McIntosh, Tim
Stanton, Mike
Vizcaino, Jose
Watson, Allen
Weathers, David
Wickman, Bob

Good luck with your collection

Joba has been signing c/o spring training. Tim Raines used to sign with a $5 donation to his charity, not sure if he still does that. Seems like I have seen good returns from Dale Sveum also.

mindbinge - Thanks for the link, will check it out, not much free content though.

DMBfan - Thank you also for the link, enjoyed seeing the galleries. The list is extremely helpful as well.

longhornjunkie - Thanks will give Joba a try for sure. Still looking to get a Sveum 98 Pacific Online card before I send him a request.

Thanks again guys!

no, startiger is not free...but for about $3 a month, it has the best content and info you will find anywhere...you would probably save more than that in bad returns alone if you send even a few out each month...I have been there 4+ years and it's worth every penny.
