We have signed items from Apollo era personnel Fred Haise, Gene Kranz, Clancy Hatleberg, John Wolfram. We have several astronauts from the Shuttle era, Steve Bowen, Dick Covey, Guion Bluford, Scott Altman, Mike Foreman.

We also have a photo signed by Betty Grissom, our own photography of the Liberty Bell 7, which her husband Gus piloted in the Mercury era. Betty was widowed in 1967 when Apollo 1 caught fire and the crew was killed tragically.

One of the most unique items we have is from Col. Joseph Kittinger, who jumped from the Stratosphere in 1960, making him the actual first man in space! The Mercury era cards from Brian (beachbum) look just awesome with these items as well!

We were at a yard sale early this fall, and I found a copy of the STL Globe Democrat newspaper from when the Apollo 11 astronauts came home, so for a dollar, I bought the paper and was able to frame these pieces up in frames I already owned:

I made a custom set for my friend Luis in California, he collects great Puerto Rican players, and I was honored to make this set for him!20201016_062146.jpg20201016_061957.jpg20201016_061838.jpg20201016_061709.jpg20201016_061559.jpg20201016_061521.jpg

Thanks so much Mike, I really appreciate the kind words and compliment!

Many of these are ttm, some of the on card signatures are, since I like having the signature boxes so the whole name is clearly visible! Many of the deceased players are purchased, usually on 3x5 index cards. In fact, many of the Brooklyn's Best cards I purchased 3x5 cards from my friend Scobes on here, which brought me from about a 12 card set to 25!

I have had a lot of luck sending these ttm, often I send extras for the player to keep, and sometimes they will sign them all and return, which is awesome too!

Thanks and God bless!

Kevin

One more today, my friend is having a tough time at work this year and loves Da Bears. I just heard a story that took place at Bill Walsh's funeral, where Mike Ditka was sitting next to Jim Harbaugh. Ditka leans over to Harbaugh and says "Jim, I want you to remember, you will always have critics in this life. Screw 'em!"

I think my friend needs this story at the moment, and I hope he enjoys this card!

A few days late, but in observance of Pearl Harbor Day, these 2 gentlemen are the last living survivors of the USS Arizona, Lou Conter and Ken Potts:

I also have these 2 items from Lt. Col. Richard E. Cole, who passed away at 103 years young! He was the last living Doolittle Raider, the bombing raid team who attacked Japan on April 18th, 1942. Their raid boosted morale and was a lift for the war effort in the Pacific.

Here is a cool article about Lt. Col. Cole:

A legend passes: Dick Cole, last of the Doolittle Raiders, dies at 103 (airforcetimes.com)

Blessings,

Kevin

Thought it was pretty cool, so I decided to make one of my own:

So, I have this basic template design that I have been working with, I have made a Disney custom 8x10 and a Star Wars custom 8x10.

One of my favorite shows with my Grandparents was The Honeymooners (in fact, Jackie Gleason was married at the end of his life to Marilyn Taylor, who was a second cousin of my Grandmother and Great Aunt!). I made this custom 8x10 for Joyce Randolph, who played Trixie Norton. I am sending to her in New York City tomorrow!

Awesome work Kevin! Really enjoy looking through those. Some tough autos in there too. Hey, I have a Nino Escalera (first black player for the Reds) index card auto for you. It will be going your way soon.

Thanks,

Luis
