There was a guy who worked as a lithographer that lived in my neighborhood. The company he worked for had an account with Wheaties. He knew I liked Michael Jordan, and he gave me this:

I've had it for 23 years. In 1990, Wheaties attached 3 different parts of a Jordan poster on every box. When you collected all 3, you had the complete poster. This is a proof of the top section of the poster. It measures 12.5 inches by 13.5 inches. There is a corner that has some wear. Other than that, though, it is clean.

I think it might be time to sell it. Home loans and Master's Degree student loans makes you re-think keeping valuable stuff.

Has anyone seen anything like this? What would you ballpark it at?

I'd toss it up on blowout Fourms. They have a bunch of die hards. Prob pay premium fo it. Ask what they think and see if you get some messages.

For a collector such as a Jordan collector it would be a cool piece to have if you had all 3 pieces sorta like buying a painting and having only 1/3 of it-Most collector's want the item in near mint condition so since you mentioned there is some damage that will take some of the value down-You mentioned it was a proof how can you prove to the buyer its a proof is it like a printing plate were the made copies from it-My suggestion would be to have it authenicated before you sell it.

If you can find an image of the actual Wheaties box, it might be helpful for prospective buyers to see it in context.

That has potential to be pretty valuable. I would get a pic of the corresponding Wheaties box and throw it up on ebay with a high BIN/BO and see what kind of offers come in. Be sure to write a detailed description of how you acquired it and what it is, exactly.
