odd ball autos

I'm sitting here thinking. i just sent out my first 80 auto requests, well most of them are out I have some for spring training to go out soon. But I’m bored and trying to think of odd ball autos. What I mean is I usually collect baseball players. Decided to send out to Sarah Palin, not a huge fan of hers but she has been someone of notoriety and she signs so I whipped up a couple custom cards for her to possibly sign so we will see if I get a reply.

But what I really want from this thread is who else can I send out odd ball auto requests to? I know my friends cousin is in hollyweird he just happen to be “Handy Andy” on the Ellen show. But I don’t plan on sending to him, guess I could though. But I want to find people that don’t send out auto pen glossy phony photos, they just turn me off big time. So that usually leaves out the vast majority of actors and actresses. I was thinking maybe Phil Knight of Nike fame, Howard Hessman of WKRP in Cincinnati fame, Sam Elliot, should have gotten his and Tom Sellecks’ when they was up here on the neighbors ranch hunting a few years back. Or maybe Tim Conway and his radio son Tim Jr. they all usually sign but what other people could I do for a project any ideas of suggestions?

good site go to FANMAIL.biz under feedback and you can surf to see who is signing or sending PP or authintic/non authintic. ozzy osbourne sends out photos that are already signed auth. nice rocker. and theres alot of email succeses. gretchen wilson signs email i know off head. hope it helps oh and hockey players sign alot. good guys hockey players.

yea ive done hockey and golfers before too, not really into them looking for mainly the "others" that we collectors want or never really think of sending to. but thanks for the lead and ideas.. keep em comingguys and gals...

i sent a letter to sarah spain, tom waddle and mark silverman of wmvp 1000 am. sports radio station in chicago.

i wrote actually to sarah, lol, she's a hottie, but i told her i listen to them in the mornings, which i really do!

i think they are hilarious sometimes. so i asked if she could send me an auto'd picture of her and the guys, for my collection.

so anyways, maybe you could send to radio hosts, sports talk or whatever?

Palin uses an autopen unfortunately I got a success back from Tom Bunk the other day, he draws for the "Garbage Pail Kids" sets...neat return personally since I collected those cards when I was growing up. I have also had recent successes from John Travolta, Angela Lansbury, Ann B. Davis (Alice from The Brady Bunch), Henry Winkler, Wayne Newton & Barbra Eden.

Odd ball, how about Tom Bodett? He's the voice for the Motel 6 commercials. I had an email success many years back.

I like the oddball requests; I've sent out a few for my Mets collection, including some announcers and long time front-office folks. I've even TTMed autos from celebrity Mets fans, like Matthew Broderick.

In mot so sure that Palin uses an auto pen, i just got back a return from her with two nice sigs both look different yet yes the same. i made some custom cards for her to sign and they dont look like auto pens but then again im not an expert.
