Problem pasting images

So, somehow, I can paste my scans in certain threads but not in others. I tried pasting the above image in the "Action Cards" thread that is going around and it only shows a link to my scan. My bucket is a Picasa bucket and usually I just copy from the box that says "Embed Image" and paste it here. In the case above, it pasted fine. In other threads, sometimes it doesn't paste the image and just shows a link. What am I doing wrong? Do I have something checked off wrongly? Please help. Thank you very much.

It is a thread started by MRMOPAR, and I just tried pasting an image again and it didn' work; only a link to the image is allowed for me on this thread. I am guessing that it is something very simple that I am doing wrong. By the way, any other advice regarding copying and pasting will be greatly appreciated.

If you edit the post, you can see the programming that goes into the picture showing up. In this case, I am not familiar with what I see from your picture in this thread. However, it would make sense that if I copied the programming that works to the other thread, it would show up. But it didn't. I am usually the one asking how to post a picture and I am not able to resolve this myself.

Are you still having trouble posting pictures in other threads?

I can't figure out how to upload an image either. I have a submission for the same thread.

I'm guessing it's because the HTML code is turned off in the thread in the card talk subforum, and it is turned on in this forum. I'd have to wait until I get home to confirm this idea, but I would think you can do the following:
1) upload picture to a hosting site (photobucket, picasa, etc)
2) pull up picture on said site
3) highlight and copy the address in your browser window
4) open the bench thread you wish to post in, click on reply
5) select 'go advanced' in the bottom of the reply box
6) select the link to 'insert image'
7) paste the address link from your photobucket or other host site

That is what makes it so confusing to me: it works in some threads and it doesn't work in other threads......and I can't figure out why or how. I always copy from the same place in my Picasa bucket ("embed picture"), so that is what makes me think that it is something checked off on the thread that doesn't allow it for me to paste. Thank you for all your efforts. No big deal if I can't figure it out....., I'll just paste a link to my pictures then.

This is from freewebs. I went into the file manager where I see Kaline.jpg, I click on Kaline.jpg and Copy the link (http://anglinomics.webs.com/Kaline.jpg) to the Bench post. The I put

Alright, this finally work following the steps above. The one more step I had to do for this to work was to check a box in my Picasa bucket that says "image only (no link)".
