I got it at a game June 8th on a 2011 bowman chrome red edition. Need the money, any opinions?

If you are talking about the one in your bucket you probably won't get as much as you think for it. But go for it!

If it's an in person, or through the mail autograph...yes. MOST people need more than someone's word that it's legit. Here are some examples of what I've picked up in the last year or two
Tom Glavine $8*
John Smoltz $12
Greg Maddux $15
Jim Thome $10
Kirby Puckett $30*
George Brett (1 auto in a lot with misc unsigned cards) $12
Roberto Alomar $2.99*
Charlie Gehringer, Carl Hubbell $20 each*
Monte Irvin, Lou Boudreau, Harmon Killebrew, Enos Slaughter, and Sandy Koufax lot under $35
Yogi Berra (1981 Donruss) $15*
Duke Snider 1961 Topps $15*
Warren Spahn $6*
Stan Musial $15*
Pete Rose (1 signed and a stack of unsigned Rose cards) $12
(For the ones I marked with an asterisk, I actually paid less than the price I listed because I bought a handful of cards at the same time from dealers I know, so they knocked extra money off)

Not to mention the card is signed in black & most auto collectors prefer blue & the auto looks pretty streaky so that lowers the value as well.

I sold a Topps Debut of his on another site that I got IP for $80 but it was signed in blue & the auto looked a lot better.

It also helps if it's a card that some one needs or is in demand & the one you have most collectors aren't really looking for. Some one needed the Topps Debut I had because they were trying to put that set together with all the cards signed.

thank you guys all for the help, do you think if I got it graded, and psa verified, would it boost the value?

It would probably bump it some, maybe even to the $80-100 range. Though in your initial post you said you need the money. I haven't had anything graded myself, but looking at PSA's fee table, it looks like it is $30 to authenicate a Bryce Harper. That is just for the sticker I believe, the slab would be another $10, so you could be at $40 pretty quick to authenticate and slab the card, plus shipping and insurance both ways, looking at the PSA chart, it looks like even 1 card is $17.50 for the return shipping. So If I'm reading it right, for just the one card to get authenticated you're at $30(auth fee) + $10 (slab) + $20 ( at least)postage both ways. You are paying $50-60, so even if you get $100 for your card you'd only really get $40-50 profit after the authenticating, so if you can wait the extra few weeks it will probably take to process the order, you could probably add an extra $10-20 to your profit. Again, if this is something where you need money right now, it might not be the best investment.

I looked into it, and there was a company that would grade it and authenticate it for 20-30 bucks, counting shipping

hmm, so if I got it PSA cetified, would it make it at least worth 100?

It's only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. It's been said a million time, just because a book or website says that X card is worth $100 doesn't mean you will get someone to pay $100 for it.

When you offer it for sale be it on here, ebay or any other site. If your highest offer is $40 then I guess it's only worth $40 no matter what a book says. Values fluctuate so what might sell for $10 today could sell for $30 next week or it could sell for $1....you never know until you SELL it.

It's a nice sig to have right now, if the Nats go deep into the playoffs it will jump in value too. Authenticating it, if it passes, will add to value- but if it doesn't pass, you've just killed any chance at profit.
Personally, I wouldn't authenticate it, as it lowers your chance at profit (cost). What I would do, if you're serious about selling it, is posting it on Ebay and take the time/effort to post an accurate and detailed item description- for example, you got it at a game, post a picture of the ticket stub. Tell the story of getting the sig- 'we waited for like 20 minutes until he got to us, he signed for a little kid right before us and he cried", etc- descriptive details that can give the potential buyer a feeling of safety, that you're not selling a forgery or fake. Offer a full money back guarantee if it fails to pass PSA and honor it. If you have pictures of you at the game, post a couple. If you got other things signed, post images of them together with the card. It can only help!

just get it authenticated from PSA, you will get more money for it in the long run. I for one wouldn't pay more then $20-30 for it because I then have to gamble on making sure its legit and getting it authenticated. Tons of Harper fakes out there

I know it is real though, I saw him sign it, I was there, I am not worried about the chances of it being fake, it isnt.

You aren't worried, a potential buyer IS. I can get 100 people to tell me they got it signed in person and they saw him sign it, doesn't mean all 100 are telling the truth. How does a buyer know you are more honest than 'honestdavesautographs62' or the guy setting up a table at the local VFW show?
