I've mentioned it before on the board but I just adore these items. They're so great to collect and make really cool conversation pieces. I originally started by getting a autographed Eddie Matthews back in 2000-2001 on ebay (yeah I know. One of the only times I did so :D ). Eventually, someone recommended that I collect them and I really started my collection in earnest during 2003 Hall of Fame weekend. Here are some of my postcards (in the process of uploading the whole collection now so keep checking if you want to see what I have (of course, none of this is for sale or trade).

Tell me about your stories/pictures/whatever of this great section of collecting!

Great cards to collect. I started collecting autographs on these HOF Postcards back in the early '80's. Many older HOF members were glad to hear from their fans and would return mail requests. Some even added a signed photo along with the request. Some examples are; "Cool Papa" Bell sent a extra signed card of him running the bases, Satchel Paige sent a signed business card, Stan Musial sent an B&W 8x10. My most recent success is Ryan Sandberg, he is the manager of the Phillies AAA minor league club in Allentown, PA and he comes out at 6:30 and walks along the 3rd base rail signing before the 7:05 games. Also, I started collecting signed 3x5 index cards of players. It started out that I would put a HOF postcard between two index cards to help protect them in the mail. Then the players started signing the index cards and so I kept sending and requesting for all the cards to be signed. LMK if you have any extra for trade, maybe you have a few I need and we could work a trade, thanks

Below is a list of my HOF collection. Ted Williams had two different HOF cards issued of his plaque.

Nice! You have a collection very similar to mine (though with a few more big ones like Ted Williams). The only one for trade that you don't have is Lee MacPhail but sadly, I clipped the top right corner :p
