Went to an enthralling El Paso Diablos vs Grand Prairie Air Hog game. Season ends Monday. Got there at 6:15, college rivalry thursday, meaning wear a college t-shirt and you get in free. Got there and maybe 15 people in the place. Saw the manager talking to two Hispanic players against a wall, almost like they were in trouble and he was lecturing them outside the batting cages. It finally ended and I asked him to please sign some cards. He turned around and got them and asked why there were so many, After explaining that half of these were for my "amigos in Aguadilla" he was pleased. He said he hoped at least one was a woman and to send him a picture of her. Ha Ha. Two minutes later I found the other object walking around with a sno cone. I stopped him and he said how did you recognize me? Well sir I went to a 1987 baseball camp that you were at. He immediately smiled, knew the camp and we had fellow acquaintances. I did have to hold the sno cone while he signed. Got both and left the park by 630...in and out like a bandit...great time...several for Javy, a couple for drew

Carlos Lezcano 13/14((asked to keep an 81 donruss, "i dont have enough of those and not enough people ask me to sign it...great guy

Bump Wills 5/5
so Sixto Lezcano's cousin...Carlos who is on the 81 topps with Steve Macko, whose dad, Joe, was the equipment manager for 40+yrs for the Rangers while...Bump Wills played there.. Wills was there to throw at first pitch..im guessing maybe 75 or so at that time.sad

That is a great haul! Really sad to hear about that attendance, though. Please tell me it hasn't been like that for the Air Hogs all season.

On a side note, Steve Macko was also a bat boy for the Rangers. I just don't recall which year he was with them, but it would have been the early years ('72-'75).
