Some Purple and then Some Red...IP day

So I went to the TCU alumni game today..There really were not that many great alumni there with it being so close to the start of spring training..But I worked with what I had..Got to see Arron(elmesero) for a bit and once again, a big thanks to him for the customs he provided...

Before the game I got:
Matt Carpenter 2010 St Louis Minor League POY
1 8x10, 5 customs


Bryan Holaday(2010 Johnny Bench Award Winner)
1 8x10, 6 customs


Then I shot the breeze with Arron and he gave me these cards from a 50/50
Jackie Moore 2 cards
Mike Maroth 2 cards
And the TCU trainer used to be a Ranger trainer back in the day..I thought it would be funny to complete this dual...Danny Wheat 2 cards

The game was pretty good.TCU beat the Alumni 5-3 although highly touted Matt Purke gave up 2 bombs in his 3 innings of work.He still sat 92mph and threw some wicked hammers...After the game I got the two TCU players

I got home to find my dual Holaday/Curry 2010 Donruss had arrived..Go figures, it gets here about 4 hours late!!
But I was happy to find these 2 HUGE returns...
Amos Otis 4/4 with IC "Famous Amos"
and....
Red Schoendienst 2/2
They definitely made up for the late arrival..

All in all, a pretty good Saturday...

I did not send a fee for either...Schoendienst usually RTS's everything but fortunately I was able to get him to open this letter...Thanks for your help with Otis, I knew if he read the letter, I had at least a chance of him signing..I am pretty sure Otis and White were my first autos ever at age 2 and I had a copy of that auto, I sent with my LOR...it worked...

I'm gonna try to go to one of the Cal St Fullerton games in two weeks and I will go when they play at UTA in Arlington in about a month...
