I was at Disneyworld a few months ago and noticed some people carrying around card albums. I thought to myself, why are people carrying baseball and football cards around disneyworld. I asked one guy and he showed me this game you can play all around the Magic Kingdom called the Sorcerer's Apprentice. Its a computer game that has consoles all over the park and you fight bad guys with good guy cards with codes on them. Here is an example...pretty cool I thought so we tried. it.

I don't know, not really, I have 6 unopened packs so I don't even know what I have. I know very little about these, can you enlighten me?

What the heck, I might be interested in trading for dups you have if you can tell me what you have and what you want in return. The kids like this stuff.

Ok, let me get these packs opened up and I'll take a look. It will be a few days before I get back to you, low priority, but I will PM you when I can.

I'm going next May for my honeymoon, I'll try to remember to pick up some packs if they still have them (or whatever incarnation of the same thing they have at that time).

Are you going to Disneyland or Disneyworld? If Disneyworld, let me know if I can help you out, we go frequently. :)

Going to the World (been to Disneyland several times, first time to Disneyworld). I've been studying up on it for 4-5 months already, have made hotel reservations (Port Orleans Riverside) and am ready to log on/call in November to make restaurant reservations on the first possible day, heh. I'm looking forward to it as I enjoyed my childhood trips to Disneyland and my interest was rekindled when we happened to go to Disneyland Paris for a day when we were in France last year.

Richard - be sure to:
1) see Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios
2) see Illuminations: Reflections of Earth at EPCOT
3) see the castle lighting / fireworks show at Magic Kingdom
also since you're staying on property, be sure to take advantage of the early opening each day for the on-site people. And swing by Magic Kingdom daily and go to the Main Street firehouse just inside the entrance to the left and pick up a pack of Sorcerer's Apprentice cards ;) (I assume you have park hopper pass?)

Richard,
I don't want to overwhelm you with advice but if you have a chance (and do this a couple months before you leave), you can get customized maps at this website...

https://customizedmaps.disney.go.com/my-maps.aspx

You will have to create an account (I think its free) but these will be much better and detailed than the ones you will get in the parks. They are easier to read too.
There is so much to see and do I won't recommend any specific attractions but like Rhubarb said, take advantage of the early/late hours for on-property guests, I've never done this and have been envious in the past. Pick out your fastpass rides in advance and try to get one (your top pick) right when you enter the park...for example Toy Story Mania in Hollywood studios is usually out of fastpasses by 9-10AM for the whole day so we always B-line for that and then go do other stuff while we are waiting. Have fun!

Definitely planning on seeing all of those, we're going to try to get reservations for the dessert party with reserved viewing for the Magic Kingdom fireworks as my fiancee is 4'11" so it will be hard to find a good viewing spot where she can see something without waiting for hours. I plan on going to the Magic Kingdom 2 or 3 days but even though I have park hopper I don't think I'll hop over there just to get the cards on other days (going to be there 10 days total).

Ooh yeah those maps are cool, I got one a month or so back and will get another nearer the trip. Nice and large and pretty good quality, you can spread it out before you visit in order to make a good "attack plan". By the time I go they may have the new "fastpass+" system rolled out so I could make fastpass reservations 60 days in advance. Either way I know I need to get there right when they open and choose the order of the rides carefully to avoid long waits...while also balancing more relaxing time for my fiancee who prefers wandering and shopping to going on rides.
