Heading to Lakeland with my father on Monday for the Tigers/Yankees game. I would like to try for some autos and was not sure what time I should get their. My question is; should I get their for when players are getting off the bus or around the time BP is getting underway?

Also is any benchie's going to this game? I would love to meet up and hangout.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I have never been to a Tigers ST game, but the gates usually open two hours before game time. That is usually the best time to get autos.

I'd get there as early as possible. MLB Network Radio interviewed a player (whose name escapes me at the moment) last week and he brought up the subject of autographs. He said players in general are more apt to sign early in the day than right before their required stretching/workout/game prep is about to begin. And after the games most just want to let go from baseball for a few hours and relax.

they brought that up in a magazine i just read and they said best time was during warm ups and batting practice. definitely not after a game by the bus or at the hotels. some will sign after (home team) but they said away teams usually have to much to do getting dressed, get on bus, in a hurry. they usually sign till about 10 to 15 min before start time. i also heard yogi berra has been signing so take a card and be ready. good luck
