Thanks to Ryan Atkins for finishing my green 250 card Focus mania set#d to 300

Thanks to Ryan Atkins from Richardson, Texas for trading me the last card I needed ( a Nick Johnson 232 mania) to complete a 250 card Fleer Focus 2000 Mania set with each card numbered to 300.. I contacted him on ebay after feedback left on 12 card mania lot he outbid me on as I missed the end of auction on walk with wifey.

Since ebay no longer allows you to go through the back door to contact other bidders I thought I would try a long shot here and a couple other popular Trading Sites and see if you are a member of this trade board or if anyone else might have the one card in that 12 card lot.

You outbid me yesterday on a 12 card lot of Fleer Focus 2000 manias for $ 3.25 plus postage. I was going to outbid you but my wife conveniently
decided it was time that she wanted to have one of THOSE TALKS and when we got back from aforementioned heart-to-heart (ok a battle) I missed end of auction by 10 minutes..(grrr)

So one of those 12 cards, a 232 Nick Johnson #d to 300, is the last card I need to complete a 250 card mania set and I believe there were two or three other for a second mania set that has around 45 cards to go.

If you see this message Id greatly appreciate the opportunity to trade for that card (or buy). I have over 200 dupe Focus manias to trade.

Ebay closing the contact loophole a few years back has made it even more difficult to complete some tough parallel sets. I completely understand why but still I am reaching other to other collectors to see if someone can help me finish this set off with a Nick Johnson 232 numbered to 300 mania card.

I'm sorry but I can't help you with Nick Johnson but I just realized one more reason why I love the Bench. It's total therapy for me and I appreciate hearing other members express some of the same things I go through with my so-called "better half". Probably got your hopes up with this response but all I really wanted to do was say THANKS (I'm not alone)!

Sometimes if you explain the reason why your trying to contact the winner of the lot....sometimes the seller will give you the information. Worked for me a few times on the Bench YSL wantlist. Best regards, David

You may be in luck. Believe it or not, I was the winning bidder!

I don't always keep up with The Bench, but I happened to be browsing tonight and your post caught my eye as sounding very familiar with an auction I had just won.

My main interest was the Todd Walker card, so I would be happy to work out a trade with you for the Nick Johnson. You mentioned you had extras from this set, so if you have any of the other Twins from this set to trade, that would work for me, here they are:

I would also accept any other Twins parallel #/300 or less (from any set) that I don't already have. LMK. I'm also open to trading a few of the others if you need them.

To the poster who was suggesting trying to get my personal info from the seller, I would hope no one on eBay does this. Not only is it against eBay's privacy policy, but I generally would not appreciate sellers sharing my info without consent.

Just to comment on Ryan's post, as long as the seller lets the winning bidder know another interested party's contact info, it should not be a problem. That puts the ball in the winning bidder's court. The seller should never pass on a winning bidder's info directly.

Did you ever finish your Focus 275 card set with both A&B versions of the Rookie Prospect card 226 thru 250?

Ive seen your Focus mania list over the past several years but was really only focusing (Pun intended) on finishin Set# 4 and 5 which Ive been able to finish both sets in past four months.
May finish set# 6 sometime but not going to actively chase them for while so if I do, I do, if I don't... well no big deal.

For those sets I can use these

Set # 7...27,48,176,208

I have at least 8 or more of all the others on your dupe mania list. The ones above I believe are all commons. Probably dont want to give up Ripkens for common manias but I will check your list in next few day.
