Nationals scored 16 more the following day... You missed two games that pitchers seemingly didn't pitch!

Manfred said they didn't juice the balls though! lol

And another 13 so far tonight.... If the Nats can find a #4 starter to go with Scherzer/Strasburg/Corbin, they could be a tough out in the playoffs.

Did anyone else see the story about Steph Curry funding the Howard University golf teams (mens & womens) for the next 6 years. Basically resurrecting the program from scratch.

Final event of the PGA playoffs tees off tomorrow at East Lake in the ATL. Tiger did not make it to the final 30 to defend his tourney title. Justin Thomas won last week in Chicago and has the best shot at winning the $15 million Fed Ex Cup. Still think that Koepka had the best year, but Thomas is hot at the right time!

The US mens hoops team lost last night vs. Australia in a leadup to the World Basketball championships.. First loss in 16 years in international competition. Maybe sending our "D" squad to international competitions isn't the best idea after all....

Rory McIlroy takes home the $15 million FedEx Cup prize. His 2nd Fed Cup victory - Tiger is the only other golfer with two championships. It was Justin Thomas's to win, and he played horribly for 4 straight days to flush $15 mill down the drain...

Next big thing for golf will be the Presidents Cup, with Tiger as the US Team captain.

Serena goes for #33?? in a bit. The draw couldn't have broken much better for her, all the best players were long gone before she reached the quarters. Same could be said for Nadal - don't see anyone on the mens side that can beat him. No Joker, no Federer, sort of an anti-climatic end to the tennis majors...

There is a chance, albeit a small one, that 5 of the 6 division winners in Baseball could have 100 this season. The Yankees, Dodgers, and Astros all seem like locks as they have over 90 wins, The Twins and Braves have outside shots. Twins need 13 more and the Braves need 12 more. The Cardinals are the Long shot. They need 21, and couldn't loose the rest of the season. They are hot right now, but not that hot!

Michael Pineda of the Twins was suspended for 60 days.....PED policy! Players still using this stuff! Best regards, David

Always looking for an edge - and everyone thinks getting caught happens to someone else...

Maybe if the Cards started Jack Flaherty for the next 21 games they could??? Talk about white hot since the all star break!

Saw the highlights of the Solheim Cup from Glen Eagles in Scotland, where the European ladies took back the Cup from the U.S. 14/12 - 13 1/2. Amazing finish with Suzann Pettersen sinking the winning putt on the final shot on the final hole of the day...and than retiring. Talk about going out on top!!!!

It is only 2 more years until the ladies come back to central PA when the US Womens Open returns to Lancaster Country Club!

Congratulations to Tiger Woods for winning his 82nd PGA Tour event - The ZOZO Open in Japan. This win ties him with Sam Snead for the most overall tournament wins on the PGA Tour. Nine more than Jacks 73. But as we know, it is only majors that count and Jack still has that lead 18-15.....
