There must have been something in the water in Pittsburgh in the early 1960s

For whatever reason, the Pirates of the early 1960s have been great signers and friends of the fans. Bill Virdon, Roy Face, Dick Groat, and now:

1960 Bennie Daniels Topps 91 Pirates
1965 Bennie Daniels Topps 129 Senators

Bennie Daniels pitched for the Pirates between 1957 and 1960. His best season was probably 1961, his first with the Senators. He went 12-11 that year with a 3.44 ERA. (He pitched 12 CG that year!) As an old ballpark nerd, it is important to note that Mr. Daniels was the starting pitcher for the visiting Pirates in the last game played in Ebbets Field.

nice!!...you can include Vern Law, Bob Friend and Dick Schofield too..
