Can't decide if today was a good day or not. For starters...

Jim Bunning 1/1 3 weeks (1968 Topps)
c/o home

Okay, that was pretty good. Bunning is one of my all time favorite hurlers. However, there was a B side to today...some slightly inebriated individual just ran over my mailbox. Ohhhhhhh, such fun....

thats crazy Jim!!!!!great day, hope all is going well down there in Htown :)

Hopefully the card was unharmed!
Nice success- sad loss!

Fortunately, yes, the card was unharmed. I had already picked it up at the box. I was sitting at the computer ready to type in "today's" success when I heard a loud WHAM in front of my house. I rushed to the door and saw a speeding, yet swerving, sport utility vehicle driving down the road. There in my front yard was my mailbox...and over there in the road was another part of the mailbox...and waaaaaaayyy over there was my mailbox...and that smashed post in the road, well...you get the idea.

Good day with a down note. You got your mail, you or your wife weren't AT the mailbox when it happened, kids/grandkids weren't out playing in the driveway. It wasn't your car or house they hit. I'd take having to replace a mailbox any day over the other scenarios. Plus, you got a Bunning autograph!

So true. He...or she...had to be going at a pretty good clip because it sounded like an explosion and the darn box post snapped like a twig.
