Kevin Bass 2/2 IP
Trekked into Houston today solely to meet former Astros All Star outfielder, Kevin Bass, who was appearing for an hour signing 'graphs at a Houston area Chevy dealership. The switch hitting outfielder may be best known as the final out in the historic Game 6 in the 1986 NLCS, but Bass is remembered as a great gap hitter with some thunder here in Houston. He was electrifying in '86 when he made the NL All Star team, and is still the same easy going person he was when he was playing. He kindly signed a 1988 Starting Lineup and a 1989 Astros program for me.
