Topps Gallery

20 packs // 5 cards per pack
2 Auto'd cards per box

I received the following:

Base:

<a href="https://imgur.com/HEhyrbx"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/HEhyrbx.jpg" title="source: imgur.com" /></a>

85 unique base cards or 56.6% of the base set of (I believe) 150

Topps Gallery is a mid-line (not really premium and not really 'base') issue. The feel of the card is excellent. They are printed on stiff stock and the artistic work seems to me to be some of the best I have seen on a Topps card. I am not normally a fan of the artistic cards, but Gallery this year seems to be the exception.

I believe this s a 150 card base set (could be wrong!). The design of the card is simple and the player's names are in gold foil with the Gallery logo on the top left of the card. The reverse has player stats from 2016. There might be some retired/veteran players in the set, but I did not receive any... (don't really know.)

Gallery should be an issue that the set builder and player collector ,alike, should enjoy chasing. It should take 2-3 boxes to complete the base set and have cards left over for trading.

Aaron Judge - green #ed to 99 - Redemption

The auto I received - Arroyo - is a sticker auto and is on a card well designed for a sticker. I am still looking at the Judge auto... I have several Judge rookies, but this is the first Judge auto that I have pulled - pretty sweet!!

Overall grade A

Go buy several boxes - send the Rays parallels to me! Hopefully, you'll be as fortunate as me and pull a Judge or your favorite player!

Post it...

thanks, Duane. I've got your Boggs ready to be dropped in the mail.

Good review, too! It was great to see the Gallery brand back after 12 years, although I don't think this set's design is as good as some of the old sets. I also don't think this set looks as cool as Panini's painted Diamond Kings release from earlier this year.
Finally, when we are comparing exclusives vs. exclusives --- I definitely prefer Target's Topps Fire over Walmart's Gallery... those Fire cards looked awesome and really stood out.

I give this set a respectable "C+"

The "Masters" are the SP's in the set.

The Expessionists insert is by far the hardest regular inserts, only like 1:84 packs. That Correa is a about a 1 in 4 box hit.

Nice pull on the Judge, there are some really good auto rookies in this product, which is why they are very hard to find.

I loved Gallery back when it was in it's heyday, and I really like the design for this year. I told myself I was done with sets, then this was released.

Thank you for the info.... very helpful!

99.9% of the time, I look only at the box that I receive without looking online or purchasing a box prior to Topps sending me one. Therefore, there are times that I am making (hopefully) and educated guess at some inserts and set sizes...

Fire did stand out... but to me the design on Fire was waaay too busy. It was more about the design than the player.
