So IE wasn't displaying the cool little eBay tags that was recently added to the site as a feature and Peter recommended Chrome. I made the switch and it worked great for 2 days. Now it is seized up and everytime I go to the Bench through Chrome, the page shows up (and I'm still logged in from a week ago) but I can't do anything on the site. The swirly circle thing at the top of the page circles for about 1 minute and then a pop-up comes up that says the page is unresponsive and asks me to "kill the pages".

What could possibly be going on with Chrome that it won't let me use the Bench now? BTW, I can still see all my regular pages I go to through Chrome.

Thanks for any suggestions!

Probably need some sort of plugin update. Flash, java, etc. browsers can get wacky. I personally use firefox, and have for 10 years. You might check that out

Also, firewall permissions and virus software

Thanks Cory...I have firefox so I'll give it a try to see what happens. Its strange that chrome worked for a couple days and then pooped out on me.

Well I did adjust my firewall settings, they were screwed up and not allowing the site to talk to me but it didn't solve my problem. Switched to Firefox and it is working flawlessly at least for now.

Does anybody know how to search for something in Firefox? I guess the Control-F only worked in IE, who knows??

Firefox uses control+F as well. The search box shows up at the bottom of the page on the left.

Control + Mouse Wheel is a good zoom feature.

Chrome has a new version and mostly that's what you installed-I installed it to and i personally don't like it..everything is out of wack-I even uninstalled Chrome re-installed it..and still the same problem..but i am not having problem one getting on the bench-Like Cory said you may need to update Java or even clean out your browser history

-Start/Run/Type in prefetch/continue(if it requires it)/Organize/Select all/hit delete on keyboard
-Start/Run/Type in %temp% and follow same steps as above
-Restart Comp.

Also icons that appear down on the bottom are constantly running in the back ground and can slow your computer down.

-Start/Run/Type in MSCONFIG(must be in CAPS)/New window opens/Start-Up/Anything with a check mark is running in back ground
only program that needs to run in the back ground is your virus software
-Click Apply then OK
-Restart Comp

Also may want to download from Filehippo.com CCLEANER
