Message: <blockquote data-quote="mrmopar" data-source="post: 3971682" data-attributes="member: 2858">If you are not completely organized, selling is going to be tough work.  Even if you are organized, the sheer volume some people have can be overwhelming.  That is where I sit.  I would like to dip my toe into the waters, but have never quite finished the organization.Now, I am not selling them yet, but my autographs are sorted by player.  I decided a long time ago that this would be one area of the collection that I would have organized as I went.  I also focused a lot of my attention to autographs for my collection.  It grew from a couple super shoes with the cards in top loaders to probably 30 super shoes with cards in soft sleeves.  Not everything is going to appeal to everyone and this includes a lot of dupes as well.I am 95% done sorting all of the rest of my cards by player (my Dodger cards being my only exception to this sorting rule, but those are sorted by player within the team grouping), but because I have done this over a long time, I have boxes and boxes of stuff that is sorted A-Z, but not consolidated.  I might have 30 different boxes with A players in them.  That is why finding a specific Fred Lynn, Ken Griffey or Pete Rose card might be nearly impossible for me right now. I was only giving you my perspective.  If I have to work too hard as a buyer, I just move on to the next guy.  The way I showed you is the ideal way for me to shop, but maybe that doesn't work as well for others.  The "I have so much more not listed/shown/displayed, just ask" excuse because the seller won't put in the time to be better organized gets old after everyone you ask doesn't have what you want though.  I just stopped asking and moved on.</blockquote>
