Okay, I admit I'm not doing as much TTM as I used to, but that has more to do with time than anything else. Due to family considerations, I don't have the time to write letters like I used to.
I still do some TTM, though, and yesterday brought two 2013 Gypsy Queen successes!
Will Clark 1/1 1 month
c/o Giants
Ben Zobrist 2/1 1 month
c/o Rays
Zobrist also included an inscribed card of his own. Pretty darn cool!
Also, I never list any pick ups from a store, but yesterday was a pretty cool day. I picked up a load of signed cards, which included a couple of Joe Niekro's, two early Ken Caminiti's (including a minor league signed card), a couple of Dave Smith's, a pair of Andujar Cedeno's, a Darryl Kile, a couple of Darryl Strawberry's, Lenny Dykstra, a pair of Wally Joyner's, and...a signed Mike Witt 1983 Topps. I have never had any success with Witt. I knew he was a tough one, but had no idea until I got back to the house.
To top things off, I did have a major purchase, or at least what I would consider to be one...a 1988 Astros team signed ball. You guessed it, it was signed by Ryan, Berra, Caminiti, and yep, Craig Biggio...his rookie year. I guess you could say it was a really good day for that store owner and myself.
