Youtube help

I'm trying to upload some videos on there, which is going fine. My problem is, I want them to be private videos, but I cannot figure out how to invite people to watch them. It seems like the people I invite would have to have a Youtube account, but I'm sure I am wrong about that. Any help?

From what I have researched, there is no way to make a private video viewable by anyone not invited to view it on youtube. I've been trying to do the same thing.

Well that sucks. So to be able to be invited to watch a private video you have to have a Youtube account?
