wow, nice oddballs. The graded card must go for a little bit o change?

I had that card graded myself. At the time I had all my uniform numbered serial numbered cards graded until they went nuts making everything serial numbered, lol

As far as the card itself I got that one Ebay and paid more than expected due to a bidding war with a Rusty Greer collector. He contacted me with a hefty offer for it after the auction was over. THen I had to get another one of the /25 for my collection.

Topps knew nothing at the time about these errors and I was in contact with them because PSA would not grade the card unless Topps verified the error. After a while they acknowleged the error. I also have the Bernie Williams with Rondell White name 21/25.

nonetheless a nice pick up. The only thing that to me would make it better would be if it was BGS :p

The 1992 Bowman Overprint is neat...two different football cards printed on a 1992 Bowman O'Neill...wow.

I have to wonder about the Gold Label Red /25...if #21/25 is an error with Rusty Greer's name, is that the only #21/25? So there isn't a "corrected" #21/25 with Paul's name?

Good stuff. I still seem to remember a Beckett article about those errors, but finding it would be like pulling one of the cards!!

I only have a few Garvey errors like that. There may not be as many because most cards were from the simpler days or printing.

1982 Topps wrong back/front with Willie Randolph (both versions) and a 1974 Topps with Milt Pappas front/Garvey back are two that come to mind that I have seen time and time again.

Some very interesting and cool errors!

On the last two Pacific cards, I believe they are just "unstamped" proof/replacement cards (I, too, considered them errors originally). Some were released in packs, but eventually all serial #d parallels were/are available after Pacific went out of business.

Nice!

As jaderock mentions, the unnumbered Pacific cards are available. They are tough finds but once they had their auction, they became readily available from a few dealers.

I agree. I too believe they are just "unstamped" proof/replacement cards. I did not pull them myself so I will never know.

99% that they are the unnumbered replacement cards. I never saw them for my guys until Pacific had their big going out of business sale. I have about 100 or so of them for my players.

Thanks for that link Ravi, onionring was a big help with organizing my APBA and paper stat O'neill collection, 45 different and counting. He gave me a great link for them showing a description and pictures.

chief...Thanks!

Several years back, I visited a shop that was walking distance from the PACIFIC headquarters. He had a non-stop supply of the hardest to find Pacific inserts and parallels. Coincidence or not? I say not!

It's those types of connections that usually leak the oddball stuff into the hobby.

It always seem like the same sellers on Ebay also have those Pacific products too.

how can they mess up so many cards of just one guy?

anyways cool collection

He is not the only player. I have just as many Bernie Williams and Don Mattingly errors. In fact a whole album of Yankee errors. It is just that I have been collecting them for years that I have do many.
