Fake patches??

As far as I can tell, Manning did not have any 1/1's in '06 Leaf Rookies and Stars. Homemade patch card, plus homemade 1/1 stamp??? That's not good...I could be wrong but even if they could be legit what are the chances of one guy having three 1/1s from the same set??

there are several players with 1/1's listed among the leaf rookies and stars longevity ruby materials .....perhaps the manning is legit and is just one not yet acknowledged by beckett (wouldn't be the first time they missed one)


another possibility : looks as though there is some embossing on the card.....perhaps one of the deals where people could get a card of their choice stamped as a 1/1 at the national ?

The Zito actually maybe real
The Leaf certified cards did have patches in mirror blue/red/gold/emerald/black versions

i actually have all the versions and none are patches..???

2003 they changed it to strictly Mirror Gold and Emerald, beside the black

actually in 2002 I pulled a few of my own that were patches from the blue set
But I have seen many mirror blue patches

What part of the jersey has the MLB logo? I thought that was only on the hat? Ive never seen that piece of cap logo #'d /75??? But I guess anything is possible.. ??

There is a mlb logo on the back of the jersey at the top below the neck.

Yes sir, it looks like it should in my opinion. The MLB logos tend to match the teams colors just as that one does. Never can be 100% sure, but it looks pretty good to me. I wish the one I have was that centered though. Here is mine of my guy:

Yeah, I am the same way. I have only seen a few that are definite and usually its the super star guys and sometimes you can even find where they bought it earlier due to the serial numbering. I have only seen one inperson and it was pretty noticable as the had simply pulled out the regular swatch and pushed the patch in so the hole around it was pushed in and scratched up.
