A little bit of info on what the boxes contain:

One commemorative patch (scans in my bucket - I did get one for the 2005 inaugural Nationals season, which I like better than the World Series patches).

They do not (at least my 2 boxes) have the mini Target exclusives.

2 of the 10 packs have the throwback parallel cards in them as stated on the box. They're basically the same as last year with the heavier cardboard stock.

In one blaster, I also pulled 2 cards that I'm not sure of what they are. One was a reprint of the '82 Paul Molitor card, and the other was a reprint of a Orlando Cepeda card ('58?). However, these are not from the Cards Your Mother Threw Out set, and there is nothing on the back of them that indicates any numbering of any set - just the card numbers from the actual card itself.

Also, they do have the SPs again this year (#1a is Fielder - #1b is Hank Greenberg), but no black #d/58 cards (at least in retail). Only gold and platinum.

The Molitor and Cepeda are from the Cards Your Mother Threw Out set, but they are the "original back variation".

Thanks for the review. Mind to post the UPC, if you still have it?

Ah, that makes sense (aside from anyone caring if their mother threw out an '82 Molitor). Thanks. The UPC is 1-825-50-04-0.

I purchased 4 loose packs at Target today and DID get a target exclusive red back. Odd that you did not. How many Million card redemptions did you get per blaster?

Yeah, I purchased 10 loose packs the other day and got 3 of the Target red backs, so I guess they are only in the loose packs. I got 2 in 1 blaster and 1 in the other blaster. And 2 in my 10 loose packs.

Also, I just noticed that there are no odds for autos on the blaster boxes, so it looks like those are loose packs-only as well.

What are the throwback parallel cards? Are there exclusive to Target? Are they just base cards with heavier stock?

I got a red back mini too. Those are just exclusive to Target, right??

Shep

The red back minis are billed as Target exclusives. The Black Border /59s are on eBay, so they're back. But I think those are usually hobby only anyway.

got 6 packs at target this morning........a few nice inserts.
also get a #327 Pujols.........back of the card lists him as an outfielder. i assume it's just an error that will not be corrected. maybe it will be different in hobby packs.

I think they are, and yes they are of a heavier stock.

Yes, the minis are exclusive to Target (as seawolf said).

Ah, that's right - the black border are hobby only. Thanks!

Thanks for the info. Topps came out with their series 1 product pretty early this year.
