I want to find out who is on this boat with me. Those that get banned or suspended. The list of people is darn large. It is awful to know people would do stupid things in order to get some one elses cards. It is very personal to most collectors that feel a sense of lost when some one tries to rip you off. These cards are a part of your life and it would hurt to think some one is tying to stab you in the back. Know my question is we do not know how egregious the infraction when they're put on this list. So this is the gist of my writing. How many members think they should actually post the infraction of the suspension or being band? This way we have the option of choosing to deal with them after their suspension or not. If it is minor infraction most people would look at it with out a second thought. Know if it is something major this member has know shot himself in the foot. Most people wouldn't even take a chance. I think this is just a form of protection for all the other members on the bench. Why don't you chime in on your thoughts ladies and gents. Thank you very much.

I would recommend that the banned/suspended must send first and use delivery confirmation. It they don't agree to that; wouldn't trust them.

If you look to the code of conduct it will tell you why someone gets suspended. Those that are banned are either repeat offenders or resistant to resolving problems. I think the moderator team gets it right when they say that people who won't follow the rules have sanctions, and to add another tier in deciding who is going to go against their judgement in trading with people is just asking for additional troubles. I also believe there are legal issues related to site making an accusation that may be tough to prove, so siting a specific reason rather that a right to just remove a member is a potential costly avenue to take.

JamesNevans is 100% correct. If one questions another member, I recommend looking at their profile and check out their trader ratings.

Just like on eBay or any auction site. You see something that seems to good to be true so what do you do? You look at their profile and feedback.

Does the "infraction" on your profile ever go away? I have had one for "excessive bumping" not long after I really started using the site and it's still on there. I know the rule about that now, and didn't know if there was a way to have it taken off?

Actually the warnings and infractions are only visible to the Mod team and staff members. They are our way of keeping track of issues. Sorry RF1982, they do not get removed. They are there for the team in case of future issues.
I know that the suspended/banned list is pretty extensive, but you can always use the search funtion. Peter does a great job of tracking down repeat offenders when they try and make duplicate accounts. I think this is one of the safest places to trade. Yes, we do have our problems, but we also have a great staff to help anyone out. Remember, this is a free, private site, and all of the Mods are volunteers and put in a lot of thier own time here. Please understand that the list is there for everyone and it dates back to the beginning of the site.

You can always PM a mod if you need help with anything.

Thanks,

noone can see your 'infractions' aside from the MOD team and yourself ... it is used as a tool for moderators to see what problems a certain trader has had in the past and to see if they are a repeat offender for single or multiple infractions ....

for all, if you get suspended/banned from this site it is because you have a gross disregard for the rules that are set forth; there arent any personal vendettas by MOD staff or some great conspiracy theory ... those that are suspended/banned are so because they REFUSE to follow the rules! nothing more, nothing less

thanks and now back to your regular scheduled program ;)

Hang on guys this is not about questioning another member. This is about disclosure nothing more. Us members playing by the rules beng protected by some trying to be less then honest in my opinion. Some where the intial question was take out of context. This is about seeing there infraction nothting more, not questioning any body.

as a trader, the trader ratings reflect what you need to know about the other trader. That is why they are there. The infractions are for the staff only to keep track of issues that arise. If you have any doubt about the other trader, don't trade and move on.

Thanks,
