i wish i had the best ernie banks collection on here but i know im not close yet. but anyway ive been collecting banks for years. i only collect gu autos and vintage and only single player cards no duals or anything like that. so my collection is very specialized. ive sold and traded away some ernie banks cards and put a lot of time and money into building and continuing to build a collection im happy with. im a cubs fan and banks is my favorite cub even though he was before my time. ive sold of peices in the past when i need money, and i hate doing that. but at the same time it comforts me to know that if i do need money i have something that i can sell to fall back on although i hope it never comes to that. i hope you enjoy and words of encouragment are always appreciated. any questions are more then welcome.

the sweet spot auto with no auto on it is a card i traded about 30 bv to have made a few years ago to send in to mr banks to have signed but i just havnt got around to it yet

im going to start off with my all time favorite card the one that really makes my collection complete in my opinion. my ernie banks rookie card

the sweet spot was custom made by a member of the old beckett message board. i traded 30 bv for it and he did an awesome job. its a real peice of ball and everything. i got it a few years ago to mail in to mr banks to have signed but i just havnt gotten around to it yet.

probably not at this time im only buying cheap gu rightse i dont have a ton to spend, i probably wont be buying big stuff again until after college. but you just reminded me that i forgot to post a picture of the auto ball of him that i do have.

Ah, that's what I figured. Banks didn't have an auto in 2004 Sweet Spot. Hope you do get it signed, that'll be awesome!

Don't sell yourself short, you might have the best Banks collection here Personally I collect everything of a player and not just certain items but to each their own. That's one of the wonderful things about this hobby is the varied collections people have.

thanks i appreciate it, it would be really cool to have the best collection on here.

ive thought about collecting everything but to me theres just something that feels weird about collecting a card not really connected to him either by being from his playing days or signed by him or have a peice of something he used in it. but i also like doing it that way because i feel its the biggest thing that sets me apart from other ernie banks collectors and makes my collection unique.
