What does it cost to PSA/DNA authenticate an auto? And why would you do it to an already certified auto?

Could be I missed something. Was the authenticity of the sigs in this set ever brought into question on the secondary market?

There are actually a couple of them on the bay right now for sale at $6 shipped. Of course thats the "raw" copy. ;)

Harold may not be HOF material, but as long as he keeps getting that 5% or better vote, at least once a year, curious folks will look up his stats and see that guy quietly went to work every day in the summer and did his job. And that was to hit the ball.

Beats me why anyone would have a certified auto authenticated. I can see it being graded to a degree as the better the auto and condition of the card the better it has of making a buck on a re-sale in some circles.

PSA has a price list on their website. I don't recall what they are right now but believe the minimum is $20 but I could be mistaken. It all depends on how rare the signature is, the number of signatures on the item, etc.

Cheers!

At the national in 2006....One dealer had a ton of psa cards that he was getting rid of.....base cards graded by psa! Best regards, David

some people have sets graded by psa...they get a better grade card and sell off the old one...somewhere out there someone is probably working on a PSA 10 1991 Topps set as we speak lol.

Could be just reassurance, maybe he heard about the Henrietta Dandrige auto, or a few other questionable cards and wanted to be safe.

Beats me. In addition to that, why do people have 1/1 cards graded
for condition? I guess if the condition is bad, a potential buyer could
look for another copy right?.......Hey wait a minute. LOL

Some people get cards graded because they want the encapsulation. Maybe having the auto authenticated was cheaper than getting it graded ?
