I was jsut looking through all my cards, and I really do not know where to begin. I feel like the cards are never ending and was wondering if anyone felt that they have too many cards! if so what is the best way to get rid of some of the commons and my bulk?

got any johnny bench, kirby puckett or jeff reardon cards? if so we can talk trade, that will help you get loose of a few maybe.

If you have "too many" commons, you could sell them to a local card store and they'll probably accept the more recent years for about a penny a piece. It doesn't seem like much, but it adds up really fast. You could also sort them by team and sell on them here for about that same price (a penny a piece) plus shipping. I just put my extra commons in boxes in the closet, but I'm sure I'll get rid of a lot of them someday. Also, if you have a lot of a certain set, see about building the set- you can get a lot more money for commons if you have the whole set. Good luck! :D :D

take them to the kids club in your area. childrens hospital. best to make little "grab bags" for the kids and they have something to hand out to kids in waiting rooms and such at the hospitals. kids love cards. or local schools....churches....and such u get the drift

Awesome idea!

i know there are alot of members on these boards that would probably gladly pay shipping and possibly a few bucks extra for flat rate boxes of cards. you can fit like 2000 cards in the 14.50$ flat rate box so you can clear out pretty quick.

but just a reminder you will need to have 20 bench points to sell on the site too.

Four years ago, I sent 70,000 cards to either childrens hospitals or Boys & Girls clubs in every major league city. I busted them into 25-30 card lots using team resealable bags. I contacted every location to make sure they would accept them, several did not. The places that did take them was very thankful for them. I highly recommend this. Maybe even try to get your employer to help with the shipping cost (shipping to Toronto & Montreal was horrible).

I give away a base or two each time I trade. You can group them into large lots and sell them if you want some spare change.
