Got some major surprises today:

Aaron Hill - Sent a 10' Topps turkey Red and a 07' Topps on 3/1/2011 and received them both back. The 07' is for trade.


Chili Davis - Sent to him c/o ST address on 2/28/2011. Took a gamble and it paid off. Got my 89 Topps signed.


Mariano Rivera - Was seeing others get him and thought my card was gone and wouldn't see it back. So I was surprised to see that I got one signed by him but it was not the card I sent. It was a 10' Topps Legendary Lineage...now the decision for me is should I try and get Dennis Eckersley to sign it. But if I got someone else's card, I would swap this card for a signed 10' A&G. Sent on 2/10/2010.


Also got this set hit from EBAY: a signed 89' Topps Bob Welch

I did a little research for you and I would not send Eckersley anything right now. He has not signed for anybody in the past few years if not longer than that.

Wow! That is a pretty awesome day! Until this ST I had never seen a Chilli Davis TTM success. He was always next to impossible IP, as well.

This year has been th ebest year for me in getting some hard to get TTM autos. Chili, Big Mac, Mariano Rivera, Yogi Berra.... just to name a few.

Yeah, especially witrh some of the harder to get players. I was a little disappointed early on but I still consider this year a big success even though I have gotten back I think 6 out of 60 some odd requests sent out.

Congratulations on Chili Davis! I noticed the TTM success with Davis last week and sent him out a request. I need him for the 83 Fleer set. Like houbb, I've never noticed a TTM success with him in the past.
