2 TTMs Today...
Mookie Wilson 2/3 c/o NYM ST...Great success..thanks to the Bench for the Heads up with him...
Eddie Robinson 2/2 Another one I wanted to get...Robinson, 90, has done a little of everything in the game of baseball...4x All-Star, 2x WS (one of three surviving members of the 1948 World Champ Cleveland Indians, I think Al Rosen and Allie Clark are the only other two)...During his 13 yr career, he played for 7 of the 8 American League clubs then in existence. After retiring, he stayed in the game and has been a Farm System director, Coach, Front Office Executive.. as well as becoming GM for both the Braves and the Rangers..His final gig was as a Boston Red Sox scout and consultant..He included a brochure for his autobiography, Lucky Me, My Sixty-five Years in Baseball...

Last night I attended TCU at UTA...One of UTA's bigger games...UTA pulled off the shocker and beat TCU for the first time since 2004, when they had Hunter Pence in the outfield...Unfortunately, due to the dramatic loss, TCU players were not in the best of spirits..Kyle Winkler would not sign("Not tonight, man") but my little nephew and I each did manage to get NCAA GU balls signed by upcoming first round draft pick, Matt Purke...Purke gave some iffy signatures(even worse than the usual) so it was a good thing I used some older baseballs.Hopefully I can get something better before the year is over when I venture back to Ft Worth..
