Beckett Organize - The World's Most Complete Online Collecting Tool

And we mean this. With Organize you can:

Create collections
Move collections to folders
Add items to multiple collections
Duplicate a single item for multiple conditions
Set up for trade, sale or buying
Change a raw card to a graded card, including the grade from major grading companies
Sort by card description, quantities, condition, print run, or attributes
View the image gallery, if available, for that item
View collection stats
Calculate the value of your collection with an Online Price Guide purchase
One of our main goals with the new site is to keep performance levels high. We have made vast improvements and find very few problems. Most are solved by utilizing Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or even Internet Explorer 9. If you are using Internet Explorer 8, please DO NOT use Beckett.com while it is in compatibility mode. Turning off compatibility mode will correct the formatting problems.

In order to continue these enhancements, on May 11th we will begin charging a yearly fee of $19.99 for the use of Organize. This is less than $2.00 a month to manage your personal collections and allow us to keep adding features and providing the website support you need.

I've already abandoned my Beckett account and moved my collections to SCF's Inventory Manager. It may not be quite up to Beckett's versatility yet, but it's getting there. But then Beckett hasn't come close to the usability of the system they abandoned 4 years ago.

Thank god for better sites like The Bench :) And their free, I wont be using Beckett anymore. If i had $20 extra to spend on a yearly fee it would go to SCN not Beckett.

I agree...had they asked for money with that old inventory manager I might have taken them up on it. This new organize has been horrible...the current one works (vs the previous rendition from the last few years) but it is still horribly designed compared to the old version.

I've moved to spreadsheets on my own computer. Don't even have to buy excel due to www.openoffice.org

I saw that email this morning...very unfortunate...got 5 more days of freeness! :(

I started my own google site and have just loaded cards in there as I've had time to. Most modern base cards aren't really worth having a BV on, so loading them on Beckett is a waste of time and money. The Organize system isn't anything I plan to pay for.

You can't trade without using the trade manager, and the cards have to be in your organize. This is their way of making people pay to trade.

Granted, $20 a year isn't a crazy amount, but you know it's just a start. They will continue to increase the prices in the future.

i have no clue what this is...the only thing I use Beckett for anymore is to get a list of Bradshaw cards...and it takes them forever to update the list when new stuff comes out.

Since they changed to the new format years ago, Beckett has been worthless...and the new website they replaced the last junk with is barely any better...still sucks compared to the old system.

Could be worse, I pay for OPG and ORG and because I complained about how they are charging people more fees for services that still don't work. IE you cannot view BVs in the trade function organizer. I got banned for a year. Seriously a year, didn't curse, or say anything bad. Just complained. Amazing customer service there. So I now pay to trade but I am not allowed to trade.

I'm finished with Beckett. My OPG runs out at the end of May. I haven't really used it in about 6 months, and it wasn't working properly for about 2 years before that. Why I wasted the money on my last renewal, I'll never know. That site has been the worst web site I've ever used, and the customer service is by far the worst I've ever dealt with. Now they are going to charge people for "Organize"? Seriously? It still doesn't work right. I looked last night, and you still can't sort by column. One of the features I was waiting for them to correct so I could get back to organizing my cards. I'm sure there are other features still not working as well, that one was the one that really bugged me to no end though.

I had intended to enter every card I owned in Organize, and then re subscribe to the OPG after I had all my cards entered. Now, forget it. I don't know what I'll use, but there has to be a better option than Beckett. At least 1 that works, and doesn't charge for a site that doesn't work. I already have countless hours invested into entering my cards into there, and only have about 6,000 cards entered. I got tired of the slow and unresponsive mess they had going on, that I decided to wait until they worked all the bugs out to go back and continue. What a waste of time that all has turned out to be.

It sounds like you have to have the subscription to "Organize" in order to trade over at Beckett as well. lol Good luck with that. I've never traded there, nor did I ever intend to. However the people who do trade over there, how many do they really think will be willing to pay to be able to trade? What a joke and stupid move on their part. There's so many free trading sites, do they really think they're that great that people will pay just to be a part of that worthless mess?

I'm sure some will stick around, and continue to use that site. I just wonder if enough of us will leave to cause this to be the end of an obviously struggling company?
