Hello everyone,

I want to start a new 75 set and can't pick between Hostess or Kelloggs. Any recommendations?
thanks
Chris

I personally like the Hostess cards a lot more, but that's probably because my dad always tells me how avidly he collected those when he was a kid, checking each Hostess panel at the store for ones he didn't have already. :)

May be easier to go with the Hostess. You know as well as I how hard it is to find those Kellogg's cards without the cracks.

I prefer the 1975 Kellogg's. While it is tough to find them without cracks, the Hostess present a problem similar to the Post Cereal sets-it took a steady hand and good eye to cut them evenly.
Whatever you decide, good luck and enjoy!!

I prefer the '75 Kellogg's, as well. I only need to upgrade the Roy White to have a mint set.

Hey Chris
I was going to flip a coin too see which one I would recommend for you to collect. Heads was going to be Hostess and Tails was going to be Kellogs. Well I flipped the coin and it landed on its edge Never saw that before. it was a sign I figured for you to go for BOTH.

I like this. :)

I would not underestimate just how hard 1975 Hostess are to find in top grade. That being said the 1975 Kelloggs is the second toughest Kelloggs set to find after the 1971 set.

I echo the sentiment that you should go for both of them!

Most of you are to young to know this but Post Cereal had a send in mail offer. For 10 cents you could get a team set, at one time I had two of the Yankees [cards my mother threw out]. I would say some nm/m cards have to be out there.
