Hey gang-

So here is the story. I bought a handful of cards on sportlots from one of the dealers there. The next day I got a note that the seller had been suspended and the sales cancelled. The money was put back in my account. At this point, I was upset but not really out anything. I would have polished off a set with these cards. I figured I would just go to another dealer there and pay a little more to get it done but I haven't yet.

This morning I got a message from the original seller saying he was all set and I could buy the cards again. The question is - should I buy from him or a different dealer or dealers?

Thanks,

Jeff

From the seller side, it is extremely easy to accidentally cancel an entire order when attempting to adjust for a single item. I did it shortly after I started selling on there. I was missing a single card from a 10 card order, but instead of hitting the button to adjust the single item from a qty of 1 to 0, I hit the botton to "adjust entire order" and accidentally cancelled the whole order.

I'd say you're probably safe with the seller, he most likely attempted to make a change to a single card, but accidentally killed your whole order instead.

Not sure it was clear. He did not cancel the order. Sportlots suspended him and cancelled it.

Thanks,

Jeff

Sportlots is pretty strict with sellers, so it's not difficult to get suspended, especially early on before building up a lot of successful sales so that the occasional mistake in inventory doesn't cause a major ding in a seller's inventory accuracy (cards delivered/cards ordered (missing a card, condition problems, etc.). If that drops below a certain level, a seller's account is automatically suspended. What was this particular seller's rating?

58. I also noticed that at least one of the cards was not relisted. I think I am going to give him a chance to make good on the cards he does have and look for the rest to complete that set as well.

Thanks,

Jeff

Final update - success. Ordered again from the original seller and he came through with flying colors as they say. Cards got here timely and in great shape.

Thanks,

Jeff
