My card is pretty beat up, but as far as 1976 Topps cards go, this is one of the best. The color scheme is dead on with the Padres and Hector holding that bat is a classic. A very nice return.

That's one of the reasons I wanted to get the '76 set signed. Ironically, this set wasn't that popular when it came out, but I think it's one of the best sets Topps ever produced. It doesn't have many big name rookies, outside of Eckersley. Bostock's RC is in there and he was well on the way to having an all star calibre career, if not potential HOF career, when his career was tragically cut short in '78. Bostock is the other reason I'm doing this set. Every time I look at his card I remember just how amazing he was, and how few people today remember that. He played for two teams that rarely got national exposure back then, the Twins and the Angels. That's probably the biggest reason people don't remember, but I do. Great player. Great set. Getting it done one card at a time.
