I have a small collection of cards that have food/drink names, animal names and other assorted amusing stuff, like Dick Trickle (racing), Bob Walk (great name for a pitcher), John Dillenger (baseball) and even the c3po "error' card. I have 5 of those 12 in the article and the Claude Raymond card is definitely going on my want list.

Can someone please explain the Rudy law card. I don't get it

I think it's the PO'd look on his face, to put it in nicer terms.......................Who knows, maybe they tried to make him short pants in the outfield? That was a nutty time in ChiSox history.....................

I checked to see if there were any signed cards, but there weren't. Unfortunately, it is a high number.

I have seen a few of that type of card as well, but never really separated them out. Numerous cards with props, like the Hubbard. In the same set, Jay Johnstone has a Budweiser umbrella hat. Tim Flannery later posed with a surfboard, Mike Perez signing his own UD card he is appearing on in 1993, etc. It is a reminder that cards were at one time meant to be fun, not such a serious business.

This site had some pretty funny stuff, but it was mainly in the humor and writing style vs. the actual cards themselves (like the Law card). Still, some pretty funny stuff.

My wife favorite is the Dick Pole Beavers....................She laughed for 15 straight minutes......................

I got Dick Pole to sign that card a few years ago, and it was hard not to laugh while writing the autograph request!

Thanks I figured it was something like that. I haven't gone the funky hair or weird facial expression route in my collection yet. Although I have included a few cards like the san diego chicken, superman BO and the redskins black cowboy hitting a black indian with a board.

I didn't look up the 67 to confirm, but I'm guessing and it's likely the same photo shoot.

Even if it was the same photo I'd still want both of them but before I went to ebay and snatched up a really nice condition 67 for $1.75 (DLVD) I checked. Definitely different. Same basic pose but different and the uniform is different.
