Ever buy one of them card lots off eBay that state “selling off ex-hubbies collection? Well I got a couple of them and was looking through what is mostly common junk and out pops a nice and shiny firm edged no a damaged corner or mark on the card Michael Jordan Rookie 1986 fleer. It can book upwards to 400 but everyone I’ve seen has been slabbed and it also looks like everyone has one too. Ah well still a nice find I think and just wanted to share it with someone.
I do have to admit I was going to toss it off into a bundled sale of gu/autos of basketball, football and hockey to clear out of my collection too. So needless to say I am glad I checked it all before I sent it off to eBay for auction.

That is a good news story. Congrats on the find. I bought a few vintage "lots" where none of the cards were listed as they were packaged at random and got a 58 Maris rookie , a 68 Ryan rookie and a 55 Eddie Mathews

yeah get it graded, if its real and in good shape and grades over a 7 with BGS you will get some money out of that....my guess is fake though unless you get it graded...a ton of high quality fakes out there.

i doubt its fake it has none of the halmark of a forgery. the printing is clear and proper color, nba logo is readable, centering on the back is slightly off no i think its a real card. and i will send it off later this month for grading.

an authentication slab just says authentic, instead of having a grade

it wont make much difference either way...if it's authentic and slabbed as such you will get $250 - $300 out of it...if it has a bad corner and gets a 4 or so you will get about the same...most people who get things slabbed as authentic are just going to put it in a PC, people buying something thats only slabbed as being authentic know there is something wrong with the card condition....you will get about the same either way, might as well just risk the grade and see what it gets, you can always send it back in if you dont like it and get it reslabbed as authentic.

there are some very good fakes of that card out...don't be surprised if its a fake...but happy days if its legit.
