Went to the Skeeter's Fan Fest in Sugarland, TX on Saturday May 13th. The Skeeters are going to be the Houston Astros Minor League Team starting in 2012. Got these former players of all sports at the event. A very successful graphing day.

Karl is a very TOUGH signature to obtain in person.

Had the pleasure to meet Dan Pastorini (Oilers/Radiers QB) at an apperance signing his book, Taking Flak.
He IS the reason flak jackets are now used in the NFL.

Came away with 2 signed books, and 3 16x20's.

A few basketball Hall of Famers and stars appeared this weekend in Houston a signing. As I was driving to the location I got a call that George Foreman, Mike Newlin, and Elvin Hayes were going to be there. Foreman and Clyde Drexler cancelled. I was not prepared for Elvin Hayes or I would've purchased a few basketballs on the way. Here is my haul.

Had a good time at the fan fest. Aaron Glenn was a no show due to getting the New York Jets scouting job. He was stuck in NY at airport. His brother told us he was sorry but he was not going to be able to make it.

It's been a while since I've had any in person success. Too busy working (thank God I have a good job).

Was able to meet Eugene "Gene" Washington on 2/23 for Black History Month in La Porte, TX. Spoke about how he had to be bused to the next town because they didn't have a high school for blacks. Good stories. Is inducted into the Michigan State University Hall of Fame, and Collegiate Hall of Fame.
