Took the kids to the Rangers game last night and Wednesdays are Autograph Days at Rangers stadium. We got Mike Napoli, Alexi Ogando and Bench Coach Jackie Moore.

Great stuff. I wish they would announce who is signing before the gates open. I would have loved to get Napoli. Do you happen to have an extra auto of his?

We've pretty much perfected this now. What you need to do is get to the ball park at about 4:15 or 4:30 (gates open at 5). Go to the Home plate entrance and they have a sign listing who is signing and where. The sign is actually inside the gate but you can read it from behind the locked gate. Based on that, we figure out which gate to go to so we get in the line we want first.

What I thought was interesting was that they actually let anyone get the auto last night. Usually it's only 13 and under. So by 2 boys, my wife and I all got a signed ball last night.

So do you have a ball of either Kinsler or Cruz that you would trade for the Napoli/Ogando?

I have a ball signed by a few different players....Murphy, Kinsler, Jamey Wright, and 2-3 others. Any interest in that? Kinsler actually pulled the ball from the practice bucket for me to sign it while we were talking. Got it done when the Rangers/Riders were playing a few seasons ago in Frisco. All players were set up around the infield signing before the game.

very cool! was Napoli friendly?

There was never really an oppertunity for interaction with Napoli. You can see from the picture there were guys on each side of him pushing people through the line. He was signing as fast as he could. They limit the amount of time they are out there and they actually do it up unilt about 30min before game time which I think is pushing it. If I had to play in a game I would want to sign as soon as the gates opened and then be done at least a hour before game time.

My kids got a little more interaction with Ogando. They told him thank you for the auto (had they not, dad would have come down hard on them) and he acknowledged it and said your welcome.

Jackie Moore was great. Smiling and having fun with the kids. You can tell he loves what he does and has fun with it.
