I was curious as to what your greatest card pull was. Doesnt have to be the most expensive item just what you liked best and why. Whether it was a nice addition to your PC or maybe it was the BV. I havent been back into collecting long. My greatest pull so far has to be my 2011 Bowman Chrome Futures Die Cut Bryce Harper. I dont believe it values but for around $10 but it was a piece that I added to my PC. I liked the design of it and that it was a die cut was also fairly cool. Thanks and let me hear what your favorites were.

As far as beating the odds, I pulled a Babe Ruth Bat card #/25 for my PC out of a Topps American Heritage blaster. I thought I was buying regular Topps Heritage baseball (they came out about the same time that year) and I almost didn't open all the packs after finding the "Americana" singles instead of baseball. I'm still working on that base set! :)

This is always a good thread if people respond!
Cheers,

Michael

Greatest pull has to be the 2006 bowman chrome draft evan longoria auto I pulled after buying three packs

Now, it would have to be my Mike Stanton Bowman Draft Auto. At the time I pulled it, I really didn't know much about him. On the charts of Beckett now though! Also pulled a Entymology card from Goodwin last year. Selling on eBay for around $250-300 now. Other than that, really don't rip much worth talking about as I build a lot of sets.

Great pull. I dont know what I would have done if I would have pulled something like that.

I have two that I was shocked to find long after I pulled them and only was I cataloging them did I find they were pretty good pulls they were
2010 Topps Heritage #215c Derek Jeter Red-Yellow Nameplate
And a 2010 Topps #661E Stephen Strasburg UPD SP VAR Wearing Grey Jersey
But I have yet to find out if a card I pulled out of a “lot” purchase off eBay is the real deal or not, it’s a Jordan Rookie card, we will see if its authentic as its out getting graded now.

Best of luck with the Jordan Rookie. I have gotten some nice Heyward Refractor RCs from Bowman Chrome from Braves lots I have bought.

As far as keeping in my collection I still have my 2004 Topps Fan Favorites Nolan Ryan autograph. Sweet on card auto for that one. As far as value, I pulled and sold a 2006 Topps Alex Gordon for $700 and a 2008 or 2009 A & G Chien Ming **** auto that I was able to sell for at least $200 but I dont remember the exact amount.

Thanks,

Jeff

pulled a jordan game action gold when the living legend set first came out in '98. the golds were #/23 and at first, booked at $1000.00, slowed down a bit to $800.00 and eventually ended up trading it for a nice payton jsy card (3 color) and a bunch of other stuff.

thats the highest price and lowest serial number i've ever pulled, all in one pull, lol.

First off great topic!
My best has to do with value and how I got it. I went to a card shop to get supplies. When I was checking out I noticed I had a couple of extra bucks and saw they had one pack of topps left on the shelf. I thought. Oh well and grabbed it to clean up there shelf. What can be in there right? Well this was:

These threads are always fun!

My BEST pull ever actually led to my three best pulls ever.

I had saved enough to buy a box of Absolute memorabilia update in 2005 (nearly 200 /box) and was lucky enough to pull this #'ed 2/3!:
MARISBUTTON.jpg

I sold it for nearly 800$ - so I decided to try my luck with 2 more boxes of 05 Absolute mem Update and pulled these 2 (1 from each box)
BOTH #'ed 1/1

The Ripken sold for nearly $500 and the Schilling sold for nearly 300$

I love these sort of threads and looking at other people's cards! I've had a few great pulls since I started collecting a few years ago:

-My first mini-box/box of cards I ever purched was 2006 UD Ultimate. At this point, I had busted mostly retail & decided to try something new after saving my $$ for a while. I could've been very disappointed, but I ebded up pulling this bad boy (this was back when patches like this weren't as common as they are now, I could'nt believe my eyes):http://www.freewebs.com/quambomb/QuadPatch.jpg

-Another one of my favorites is this Griffey auto I pulled from a K-Mart retail box with an assortment of 8 or so random packs for cheap (usually just a waste of money) while on vacation in North Carolina: http://quambomb.webs.com/GriffeyAuto.jpg

Wow what great cards there. The Maris is something if I would have pulled would have had a hard time selling it bc I would have wanted to put it in my PC. I have no luck when buying hobby boxes. Usually the autos or game used that guaranteed is always the lowest possible and usually end up getting an insert that books more than it.

Don't open too much product but I remember being excited when I pulled a 2004 Fleer Greats Ben Roethlisberger autograph which was the most short printed autograph from the set on top of being a RC.

I pulled a 2008 bowman chrome mike moustakas orange refractor auto and a Adam laroche printing plate out of one jumbo pack of 2008 bowman.

That is something I have never had is a printing plate. Been close to getting them on ebay and would never have that kind of luck to pull one.

I've pulled two printing plates. Both out of bowman products. Funny thing is I don't ever buy wax mostly just singles on ebay lol

All of those are great pulls, but they pale in comparison with the elation I felt when I pulled out a Mike Fischlin card from a pack of '87 Topps.:D
